Cookies

This site uses two cookies, both technical. None tracks you, none follows you to other sites, none is there to show you advertising.

What they are

A cookie is a small text file the site saves in your browser to remember something from one visit to the next. Some keep the site working or remember a choice you made: these are technical cookies. Others follow people for statistics or advertising: these are profiling cookies. Here there are only the first kind.

Which ones this site uses

  • lingua. Remembers whether you read the site in Italian or English, so the next visit opens in the right language. Set by the site itself, lasts 12 months.
  • avviso-cookie. Remembers that you closed the notice at the bottom of the page, so it does not come back. Set by the site itself, lasts 12 months.

No third-party cookies. No analytics tools, no social pixels, no embedded videos phoning home. Even the typeface is served by the site, not by an outside provider.

Why I do not ask for consent

Technical cookies, the ones that only keep the site working or remember a choice of yours, do not require consent. Italian law says so, in article 122 of the Privacy Code and in the Garante's guidelines of 10 June 2021. That is why the notice at the bottom of the page informs you and nothing more. If one day I added analytics or anything else that needs consent, the notice would change and I would ask you before switching it on.

How to delete them

From your browser settings you can view, block and delete the cookies of any site. The steps differ from one browser to the next: search for "delete cookies" together with the name of yours. If you delete the ones from marcopalombini.it, the site picks the language again from your browser settings and shows you the notice again. Nothing else changes.

How I handle personal data is explained in the privacy notice.
